Connect Shopify With Help Scout to View and Work With Orders in the Sidebar

Shopify provides your business with everything needed to start selling online. You have full control over the design of your store, can accept secure payments for your business, and have access to 24/7 support by phone, chat or email.

Install the Shopify app for Help Scout and you'll be able to import customer contact information (email address and physical address), view key metrics (lifetime value, annual value and average order value), view full order details (including products and discounts) and refund, cancel, edit, or duplicate your customer's most recent orders right in the customer sidebar. 

You can also access order details or the customer's Shopify profile in a single click. 

Activation Instructions

1. Head to Manage > Apps > Shopify in Help Scout. Click Install from Shopify in the left sidebar. 

2. Click Install from the Shopify app store page. Your page may look slightly different than the images shown here.

3. Click Install to agree to the terms and add Shopify to Help Scout.

4. Choose the Help Scout Inbox(es) where you'd like to see the Shopify sidebar appear in conversations. 

Re-authorization Instructions

To access new features that have been added to the Shopify integration, you may need to re-authorize the app.

1. In a Conversation, click Re-authorize in the right sidebar. 

2. Click Update app from the Shopify app page you land on. 

3. Click Back to Help Scout


Uninstall Shopify

There are two steps to removing the Shopify app from Help Scout.

  1. Head to Manage > Apps > Shopify in Help Scout and click Uninstall App. This removes the app from Help Scout.
  2. Head to the Shopify app store and find Manage Apps, or from your Shopify account go to Settings > Apps and sales channels. Click the 3 dots option menu next to Help Scout and choose Uninstall.
