Connect Linear With Help Scout to Link Conversations and Issues

Link customer conversations to development issues in a snap, whether you're squashing bugs, gathering feedback, or keeping everyone on the same page. This guide will show you how to connect these tools for smoother teamwork and next-level efficiency.
The Linear integration is available on Plus and Pro plans.
You must have the Access API permission to install the Linear app. See User Roles and Permissions for help.

Overview
The Linear integration allows your team to quickly search for relevant issues and attach them to conversations in Help Scout right from the sidebar.
Activation Instructions
Head to Manage > Apps > Linear in Help Scout. Click Install App in the left sidebar.
Choose the Help Scout Inbox(es) where you want Linear to be available in the sidebar of conversations. Click Save to finish the installation.
Head into any one of those Inboxes and into a conversation to find Sign in to Linear in the right sidebar. Each Help Scout user will need to complete this step with their own Linear account.
Sign into Linear if needed, and click Authorize Help Scout to give Help Scout access to Linear. Each help Scout user will need to complete this step as well with their own Linear account.
How It Works
After you install the app, you will see Linear appear in the sidebar on each of your conversations. Sign in to Linear (see steps 3 and 4 above), and then you'll find the option to link issues.
Click Link an issue to search for or create a new Linear issue.
Hover over any item in the search results to find a quick Link button, or click the issue card to view the full details of the issue, then click Link Issue to link to the conversation.
Click Create new issue if there are no matching results.
Fill in the required fields to create a new Linear issue right from the sidebar. Click the magnifying glass next to the Team field to search for available teams, or start typing in the team name to select the correct team.
Click Create issue when you're done to create a new issue in Linear and attach it to your conversation.
Hover over any already-linked issue to find the Unlink button to remove it.
