When integrated with Help Scout, you can have all your Drift conversations sync with Help Scout. When a chat is completed, Drift sends it to the customer's history in Help Scout. When someone sends an offline message, it's directed to the Help Scout mailbox of your choice.

In addition, you can see Drift Contact attributes, segments, campaigns, notes, and recent activity, all in the conversation sidebar. The Drift integration is only available on the Standard and Plus plans. 

Activation Instructions


From Help Scout, head over to Manage → Apps. Locate the Drift app, then click the Install App button. 

On the next page, log in to your Drift account, or create a new Drift account if needed. 

Once you've logged in to Drift, hit the Authorize button. This allows Help Scout and drift to communicate. 
After authorizing the integration, you'll be redirected back to Help Scout. Visit the Settings and Properties tab to select your mailbox and chat settings. Don't forget to hit the Save button when you make updates! 

Note: When your Drift chat widget is in offline mode, we’ll direct any incoming messages to your Help Scout mailbox and close the chat in Drift. We’ll then set the Help Scout conversation to the offline message status selected in your integration settings.
